The Service Center at ClearWater has partnered with NWEA (Northwest Evaluation Association) to provide educators accurate student assessment, scientifically-based research, and professional development. NWEA products include accurate assessment methods, timely reporting of scores, and practical classroom resources.

NWEA, along with its community of educators, is dedicated to improving teaching and learning and provides products and services to measure and promote academic student growth and school improvement.

Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) are state-aligned, computerized, adaptive tests that accurately reflect the instructional level of each student and measure growth over time.

MAP tests provide highly accurate results that can be used to identify the skills and concepts that individual students have learned, and will help to diagnose instructional needs. MAP tests can also provide the data to make decisions in the classroom, school and district, and can be used in placing new students in appropriate instructional programs.

Shirley Farmer at The Service Center at ClearWater is certified to provide the following training:

Stepping Stones to Data (step 2)
Basic interpretation of reports and communicating with students and parents.

Climbing the Data Ladder (step 3)
Learn how to build instructional ladders includes the basics of Differentiated Instruction and how it all works with MAP data.
