6-12 Science, Social Studies and Technical Subjects ELA College and Career Ready Standards

Teachers of these classes should be knowledgable about the standards and ready to begin incorporating the ideas into their curriculum. Problem is... what does “author’s purpose” mean? Where can teachers who are unaccustomed to directly teaching literacy get started in finding resources and understanding the standards’ directives. We can help! Participants will receive access to an online database of strategies, instructional tools and sample lessons. Bring your laptops!!
